The short version
The HiloIntelligence Browser Assistant extension is a companion to HiloIntelligence, a self-hosted AI workspace operated by your organization or its IT provider. The extension's developer does not collect, store, sell, or receive any of your data. Everything the extension reads goes only to the HiloIntelligence server you connect it to.
What the extension stores on your device
- The web address of the HiloIntelligence server you entered (browser sync storage, so your browsers share it).
- A sign-in token for that server, kept in the extension's private browser storage until it expires or you sign out.
- Your interface preferences (for example whether approval cards are required before actions).
What the extension sends, and where
- When you ask the assistant something, the extension sends your message — and, when you use page tools, the content of the page or tab involved (text, links, form labels, or a screenshot) — to your organization's HiloIntelligence server over HTTPS.
- That server processes it under your organization's policies, including which AI models are used. Ask your administrator for your organization's own privacy documentation.
- The extension never sends anything to the extension developer or to any third party of its own. There are no analytics, no telemetry, no ads, no trackers.
What the extension can read
- The extension reads a page only when you use the assistant on it (or granted it standing page access at setup — you can revoke this any time in your browser's extension settings).
- It never types into password, card-number, or verification-code fields, and by default every action (clicking, typing, opening pages) requires your explicit approval first.
Data retention & deletion
The extension itself retains nothing beyond the items listed under "on your device"; remove the extension (or use "Change server") and they are gone. Conversation history lives in your browser's storage for the connected server and on that server per your organization's retention policy.
Children
The extension is a workplace tool distributed for organizational use and is not directed at children.
